I was looking at a Winchester 92 a while back in 32-20 and I think it had the same arrangement as the Rossi 92 in 357 Magnum. Also had one of the Japanese 92s in 357 and it had the some thing.

I've got one each of the Braztech .357Mag and .44 Mag both recent production.
The detent notch on the .44 is on the receiver. The detent on the .357 is on the LHS cartridge guide.

Steve's vid is done using one of the stainless .38/357 guns before they started putting the safety on the bolt and it is the same.

The carrier on the .44 is narrower at the forward end with the detent in the thicker portion about halfway back where it there is additional 1/8" in width on the LHS. The .357 carrier is constant width front to back.

I haven't ripped into them yet but that's my next project.
