computer gremlin

Post by 3sharps »

Hi Fellows, I just bought a new computer and I have a problem with it. I would like to post to the website but when I call up this site, I do not get the button that says "new topic"! I have deleted it and reinstalled it but still no button. Am I the only one with this problem? I have to use my old computer to access this site properly. Thanks for any help. Vern :(

you might try looking in your browser tool bar under "Tools" and find "Compatibility Settings" while logged onto the site. Click on the "Compatibility Settings" and add the site to the list in the window. That's fixed quite a few issues with other web sites for me recently.

I tried your suggestion but it didn't help. I went to Staples and they could not find anything wrong with the computer. Here I am sending this from my cell phone. It has to be something simple.

You can install any of the browser on your PC without loosing the ability to maintain IE as your default browser. I would install another browser, Chrome is about as simple as it gets, try it.

The way I understand it is that you cannot see the "PostReply" button? I've check all your settings on the forum are no different than anyone else's.

Okay, I got in touch with the manufacturer, they have discovered a software problem. They are fixing it as I type. Thanks for everyone's advise. :D

The operating system had a flaw. It was way beyond my pay grade to repair. Hopefully I won't have anymore problems. It sure will be great to be able to access the site from anywhere. :D :D :D
