Back on topic. Did the registration actually pass?

If your asking about the long gun registration in Calif, yes!! I think it passed a few years ago but goes into effect on Wednesday 01/01/2014. All guns, even those older then 50 years must be registered. I just traded an old Winchester bolt action 22, it had no serial numbers on it at all. I guess next week I'd have to use a sharpie and write some numbers in it before I could sell\trade it, and of course register it with the DOJ here in California..

Lets hope the Cal gun foundation can do something about these silly laws.

I expect compliance with the CA registry will be sporadic at best (like it was in Canada when they had a long gun registry) with ownership & sales of guns not directly involving FFLs.
I assume there is a guns & ammo buying frenzy going on in CA as we speak with a matter of days before the new law kicks in.
Like any law that regulates, restricts or impedes ownership of anything this law will open up a new clandestine market for criminals.
Members of the Hell's Angels will be crowding (standing room only) the police precincts and trooper detachments throughout CA registering their AKs, Uzis and Mac-10s.

Don't count on an organization to fight the good fight and save the day.
Each and every gun owner must activate against the gun grabbers attack on 2A.
The Cal gun association and the NRA will be successful only where they get the active support of gun owners.
A sigh and a little bit of wishfull thinking & moral support won't cut it.
Support is paid memberships and donations and actively lobbying your representatives and senators.
The next thing on the anti-gun agenda is firearms owner licensing.
Once registration and gun owner licensing are successful the full erosion of your 2A rights and banning & confiscation of your guns will escalate exponentially.
Make no mistake or harbor no illusions.....the gun registry is not vectored at criminals it's a disarmament tool aimed at you, the law abiding Californians.
The registry is not the end......it is the beginning of the end.
What are YOU going to do about it?

AB 809 was passed maybe year ago and will require registration
of newly purchased rifles on January 1st 2014.

Pistols have been registered this way for while now.
The shootings in LA this week are all gang related.
The gangs, as you know, obey all laws..

Progressives, don't stop. Beware, we need to be persistent.
This year promises many more attempts at legislation.

Looks like that wedge is getting in deeper.
Next thing on the CA anti-gun legislative agenda.......firearms owner licensing.
If they get that through California gun owners are in trouble.

Attempts are one thing.......SUCCESSFUL attempts quite another.
Guess which one the long gun registry is that will be in effect in a few more days?

CA gun owners need to get their do-do together or there will be a lot of space becoming available in their gun racks where guns USED (past tense) to be.

California gun owners......time to rub the sleep out of your eyes and wake up and smell the coffee.
There's a war on to take away your rights and your guns and you ain't winning.
