new guy from Missouri
I'm a retired Marine Corps Gunnery Sgt , from 1972-1992, work at a theme park as a Steam train Mech. for 16yrs then retired for good. Only have 1 lever action at the time. it's a M1895 GS, I've had Winchesters, and marlins, the only rossi I've had was a overland shotgun. thinking about a rossi M92 in 45lc some time after Christmas.

Welcome from Texas! Yes, thanks for your service!
I really like my R92 and have spent a lot of time with it this hunting season. In fact, if I had to clean house and rid myself of my complete Rossi line up but one, the 45 Colt would be the last gun standing.

Re: new guy from Missouri
Welcome aboard Gunny! After researching Remlins and Japchesters, I purchased a Rio Grande 45-70 for my river bottom elk gun. So far I have been pleased! As an auto manufacturer said in an add a few years ago, "Everything you need and nothing you don't!" I ordered a basic leather sling and butt stock, and this rifle is ready to go on January 1st, when I purchase my new 2014 elk tag!
