How much metal to take off??

Post by lago »

Got Steve's video and ready to start BUT don't want to take off too much metal. Example-how much do you take off the extractor. It looks like about half but just guessing.

Anybody recall?

Thanks

if you follow his video it will show the basic shape in which you need to grind it I didn't measure or weigh it I did it till it ejected were I want them. so remove some test it and see how it is.

This exactly!
Remove a little and try, repeat if needed, as many times as needed!

It helps to stop the brass from going into lunar orbit they land all right at my feet and chew the rim alot less. In short saving your brass.

OK, so that it's not so hard to snap over the rim?

anybody have a picture of one done like that? I would like to try it, cause that's the hardest thing about cycling my 357.
