I had some Barnes 250 gr HP bullets lying around and was thinking about trying some in my M92 454 (waiting till after this ice and snow storm to pick it up) but I think the length might be too long. I was looking at 30 gr of H110 but seating that bullet in the cannelure seems to compress the powder a pretty good bit. I was wondering if some of the experts here have had any experience with this bullet and powder combo.
What is the average length these M92's in 454 will accept. I have some 300 gr Sierra JSP with 29 gr of H110 at 1.765.

I think it is 1.765". I think anything longer is going to make it from the tube up to the chamber.se3388 wrote:Has no one ever figured out the c.o.l for the 454 M92's?

Re: Barnes 250 gr HP.............
Looks like my 300JSP Sierra bullets might just make it but the 250 gr Barnes are a little bit long, they compressed the H110 more than I would like too. Thanks for the info.
