Anything below 40°. The day my dad killed the deer the temperature had dropped 35° from what it was at sunrise. I think the day ended with a 37° to 38° drop! That will do it. We are back in the mid 70°s right now.357cyrus wrote:Just curious what a Texas buck considers a cold snap?

I would simply die at that temperature! I will take 100 over 10 any day! I remember about a decade ago, Dave Williams of MarlinOwners was down for a hog hunt in September it was blistering so we were only going out at night. Each day at sunset it was exactly 100°! As I recall we would hunt util one in the morning or so.f100cleveland wrote:Send a little of that 70degree weather up here. looking at under 10 dergree highs and -2 nights by Thursday up here. Zero degrees and breezy when my Dad and I left the cabin on the last day we had to go bear hunting. Had a little ice build up on my mustache after still hunting for an hour. With the right clothing I kind of enjoyed it.
