Unique finally

I'm in Charlotte NC this week baby sitting a couple of our grandkids, and I went by a local gun show before going to their house. Low and behold, someone there had a new 8lb jug of unique for sale. Hot dang I'm in heaven again! Or at least I thought so. $225.00 was what he had marked on The jug but he did come down to 200. No thanks, I ain't gonna pay that much. Later I found another vendor that had just sold their last jug for 138.00 dang it!

This coming weekend there is another show up here, and from what I gathered talking to vendors at the other show is that they did not get into the BIG show coming up. So they had a little one the week before the big one gets here. Way they talked, you have to get on a waiting list to get in the big one. Said that it takes in 3 or 4 buildings, and if it ain't there.....they probably don't make it. Maybe I'll have another chance to find some powder there. I did get some one pound cans,unique,red dot blue dot, lilgun, from the high dollar guy, just in case I don't stay till this weekend.

While I was there the only Rossi that I saw was a 24" 45 colt stainless with a gold reciever that just don't look right. Maybe there will be more of them at the big show.

I just looked at Powder Valley and they do have 1lb containers of Unique available. 8# with the hazmat fee would be $153 but shipping would be need to be added based on your location. As I write this, they do have 8, 1# containers in stock.

Thanks RD, I,ve been looking at their site for several months and they have not had any. If I don't find some this weekend, I just might order from them. I need several different powders, so that would spread the cost out more. I might need to find someone else local that wants to order powder and get the max amount that they will ship in one order (48lbs), that would lower the cost per pound a good bit.

A great place to look for reloading componets is Gunbot. Just down from the top you will see blue hyperlinks for each category: Brass, bullets, powder and primers. They will show you in stock and price each. Really is a nice site!

Thanks tuco, I have been to that site a couple of times before. A guy at my local gun shop told me about it. Im holding off ordering powders until I see what I can find locally, to keep from paying all the fees and shipping. But from what I have seen so far, it might be just as Cheep to order even with all the extra cost. Especially if I get a bunch at one time.

I went to a big gun shop up here yesterday and he had a good bit of one pound powders at 25-27 dollars. He had a few eight lbs at 235-248 each. Again, I got a few one pound cans, just in case the gun show doesn't pan out!

Well rats, no big jugs of unique at the gun show. BUT I did find an 8 lb jug of 2400 for $160 so I snatched it up.lots of reloading supplies there, but unique just is not very avaliable yet.
