A few more coats of Tung Oil and it will be done.

Its off my Rio 45-70. I took some pic of the fire treatment when I started the refinish. Will put together a step by step of what I did. Real happy so far..... can't wait to put it back together.

It does to that deers eye apear to be torched, but I am a hillbilly not a woodworking expert. I love it's finish. i await more info to your process. Years ago I did a torch burn tiger stripe for a friends ak 74 and it was epic it was before ihad a digital camera to document such projects. sadely I hope to do another soon maybe a romy g with torch burned stripes.

That is one of the prettiest stocks I've seen in a long while.
I'd be afraid to take the gun hunting for fear of scratching it.

Yep..... I took some pics when I did the fore grip after I hit it with the torch. Should be able to put something together this weekend. Very simple process.
