HELP info wanted about a Rossi 92 SRC GP GONYO 38/357
Hi.. I'm new here and I am trying to find my way around. Please excuse me if I do something out of place. I have recently acquired a Rossi 92 SRC it has GP GONYO stamped on the barrel and the stock and forearm are carved with horses and singed GONYO 81. Can anyone tell me about this? It shoots great an is still in very good condition. Please leave a comment if you visit my post. Thanks

I have spent alot of time searching even through my books as well and cannot find any info in regards to this model. GONYO? I am very curious as it seems to be rare or maybe a privatly done custom job.

Ok, I did some googling on this topic today and I might have found something. I found a guy named Gordy Gonyo that is into all kinds of woodworking and firearms too. I found questions about all sorts of woodworking tools and books that he reviewed. Stuff like saws, mortisers, and even a review of an engraving book.
Search google for Gordy Gonyo and see for yourself. He is on quite a few firearms forums, might be able to contact him that way.
Best,
John

Thanks John. If I can figure out how to post a picture, I will have to show it off.

That is some serious work, I would say that John figured it out and that Gordy had his hands on your rifle at one time. If you are a facebooker it looks like you can communicate with him.

Wow, that is some nicely detailed work. I see now why his name is all over the internets.
