I had a 600 in 308 Winchester back in the mid 70s.
A stubby little gun with a bolt handle that had a pronounced "dogs leg" bend in it.
I believe the 600 had a plain round barrel and the 660 had a vent rib.
I also believe they made the 660 with a beautiful laminated stock in 350 Remington Magnum.
If I ever spot one of those in decent shape it'll be coming with me.
The only stubby Remy bolt I still have is an old Remington model 7 in 308 with the 18.5" barrel that I pillar and glass bedded.
That rifle prints 1/2" groups all day long with the Nosler Custom 165 grain Accubond ammo.
It has a 2-7x32mm Leupold on top which is standard kit for me.
