My wife's birthday present

Post by 0369 »

My wife's birthday was St. Patrick's day and she got the usual flowers from me and ammuition from her friends, but on the way home this morning I stopped at our local Fleet Farm and picked up some tannerite for her. She's been bugging me for a while to get some but I never had any interest in it since I played with enough explosives in the Corps. When I got home I told her I had the rest of her present and gave it to her. The reaction I got was what you'd expect for a 5 kt diamond. Excitement is an understatement :D . Her theory on presents from me is for something gun related. I got her a diamond necklace before we were married and after it was misplaced she always comments on how the necklace is gone but she knows where all of her guns are. I married a winner. By the way, she reloads too!

It is truely a miracle to find someone with interests being the same. I have tried to many times to change people and failed. Now I wait and will see what I will find at the range or in the woods. Got to be more good ol country women out there still. LoL Congrats I wish you two many more years of happiness.

I sure got lucky with this one! Everyone thought I was going for young arm candy the second time around, but I got someone to shoot, hunt and fish with. She can set downriggers better than any guy I've had out salmon fishing. The stunning good looks are a bonus.

Thanks RD and Arktikos, she shoots like the dickens too. Even with all that has happened in the last 2(spinal chord injury) years I still feel blessed. Her support is what keeps me going.
