Very tender and tasty. No trouble passing nilgai to others, everyone will take it.

Well if it is as good as moose I'd crawl with the snakes too although that would take some getting used to!

Nuthin beats elk.............got a freezer full of it.
Some mighty fine eatin ahead.

Lots of grouse (ruffed) this season.........grand total of 42 birds all told.
I fillet the breast meat off the bone with a fish filleting knife cut each one in 2 or 3 strips & roll them in milk and then in
Shake & Bake then in milk again and then another roll in Shake & Bake to make a nice crunchy coating and then deep fry just until the meat is done (do not overcook).
Absolutely delicious "partridge sticks".

That nilgai looks like a tough, may-take-more-than-one-shot critter. RG4570 territory.....

I did some net surfing & reading on that thing that looks like a cross between a Brahma bull & a Giraffe.
It's a no nonsense lookin critter if I ever saw one.......it has a "don't mess with me" look about it.........RD probably has them eating out of his hands. :D
I wouldn't want to wound one in a cul-de-sac with me blocking the only path of retreat.
I'd want a Guide Gun & rounds with a serious (430 grain) hard cast lead bullet or a Barnes "Buster" bullet loaded to the eyebrows.
The only way I'd want to be anywhere close to a nilgai is if it was horizontal on the ground with ZERO "0" vital signs & a big 45 caliber hole through it.
