Virginia Gobbler - 5/4/2013

Post by Nodnarb »

FINALLY!! I have been working a group of birds for 4 Saturdays in a row now and today was the day. Mr. Tom just couldn't resist my fine hen calls. He came marching in full strut to my decoys. It was beautiful to say the least....well...until...BOOM +guns Did I mention this is a public land bird!!??

Here he is - 23lbs, 12" beard and 1 1/8" spurs.

Congrats!!! and on public land even makes it better. Lived in PA for quite a few years until my return home, I know what it is like hunting on public land.

Thanks man. Public land hunting is definitely a challenge. The birds are very tight lipped most of the time. Luckily that wasn't the case today!

You did better than I did today... Took the lever for a walk looking for Hogs. None to be had. Oh well I still enjoyed watching the sun come up.

You might as well do a Ranch Dog TLC311-165-RF! I'm running a group buy for it right now on Cast Boolits.
