Just found this forum and really like it. Lever guns have been my favorite ever since I started shooting (about late 1950’s). What really cemented my love affair with them was a Winchester 32-30 SRC converted to .357/.38 in 1966. I carried this on patrol as a State Trooper for several years since it was a perfect match for our .38 wheel guns.
Due to the Department tightening up on firearms that were authorized, I sort of got out of guns until I retired in 1989. At that time I discovered that Cowboy Action Shooting had created a renewed interest in lever guns. There were really a lot of neat guns available in contrast to the 60’s.
Picked up a trapper size Winchester 1894 in 44 mag about 1994. Then a Marlin .357 and 44P. About 1998, got my first Rossi, ss, src, in 45 Colt. Kept that Rossi until I found a Winchester SRC in .45 Colt with no cross bolt safety.
A couple of years ago, I found a late model, blued Rossi trapper in 45 Colt. Sold the Winchester 45 trapper and never looked back. This year I picked up two more Rossi trapper models in ss (a 44 mag and a .357/"38). The .357 was finicky about loading until I changed to a ss mag tube follower. It now feeds both .357 and .38 like silk.
Now have 16 lever guns (too numerous to list here). They do include .22 mag, 32-20, 44-40, 30-30, 32 Special, 22 long rifle, .357/38, and 44 mag. Looking for a .327 mag since I foolishly sold my Henry model several years ago.
Again, great forum. Am looking forward to browsing through it.
Trooper Joe.

That’s an impressive array! I’m curious about your 22lr and 22 mag. Winchester 9422s, perhaps? My Winchester 255 is a homely but well-loved 22 mag lever. Welcome aboard!

Welcome aboard. I've said before that lever guns are in my DNA. Looks like I'm not the only one, so afflicted.

Re: Hello from West Michigan
Welcome! I loved living in Michigan, spent 2 years on the UP on the northern shore of Lake Huron in the LeChenaeux Islands. I loved the winters there. Never seen anything so beautiful.
