I honestly thought 44 magnum would be second place. I'm pleasantly surprised it's 45 lc.

I have three different brand levers, but my Rossi is a .38/.357.

Re: What Cartridge Is Your R92 Chambered In?
Bought one about 5 years ago in 357 to go with my 2 Marlins, dated 1981 and 2012. And no, there is not a darn thing wrong with the 2012, Remlin. That said I just love the little 92 in 357. Without optics certainly just a fun little utility gun. Then I saw a stainless in 454. Wow! I have owned maybe 50 rifles of all sorts and styles. Being retired from the military and law enforcement I have more than my share of gee whiz megashooters including ARs in 4 calibers. But, the little stainless 454 is my favorite rifle of all times. I can load it to 1800 fps with 340 grain bullets, about the same as my Marlin Guide Gun which weighs about 7.5 lbs. The Rossi only weighs about 5.5 lbs, so there is a little recoil. Or I an use Ruger only 45 Colt loads and still get over 1,500 fps, well more than enough for any moose or bear. Or, I can just load it down like 45-70 trap door loads, 1,150 fps and plink all day long with the same 45 colt loads I carry in my handgun. SO, #1 preference is 454, and 357, but a 16 inch barrel stainless in 45 Colt could replace them both.

I too own the 454 (20", round, blue). It is my favorite as well. I wouldn't trade if for the 45 Colt. No how, no way... It will be in my lap sitting in the woods in 11 days (not that I'm counting!).
