I don't know if these have been noted here or not.

I had purchased a NEOS used only to find out there was an open recall on it. I just received mine back and haven't tested it yet but in addition to the recall work the pistol was inspected and certain springs replaced to bring it back up to factory spec. I had not had any issues with the pistol but since the recall had to do with unintended discharges I sent it in under the 'abundance of caution' theory.

I know several folks, in other states, who own the MK IV. Some of them have mentioned having no issues and plan on sitting this recall out. Others have mentioned delaying purchasing a MK IV because of the recall.

I bought an XDS .45acp several years ago to give the plastic fantastics one more chance to make me happy. The gun had a smooth 6.5 lb trigger out of the box, then two weeks after I bought it they announced a safety recall. Like a dummie, I sent in a perfectly good performing pistol in the first day of the recall for what I really believe was a bogus, lawyer infested non-issue. Even though I was in the very first wave of returns, it still took 6 weeks to get back a pistol that had a nasty, gritty 8.5 lb trigger. I was lucky to have sold it for what amounted to about a 20 buck loss within a week of the return.

I now have mixed feelings about sending in a firearm for the "recall" stuff, unless I can simulate the issue.

I understand.
I didn't have any problems with this gun and the recall mentions Beretta being unable to duplicate the problem which leads me wondering why the recall to some extent.

On the other hand, this is a plinker not what I'd call a target pistol although it's set up with a rail on top of the barrel from the get go. I'm hopeful they didn't put a lawyer trigger in it but if they did I'm not sure I'll care that much since this was never going to compete with my better .22s.

Beretta got it back to me in a week or two. My buds at the shop who sent it in probably took that long to get it out since they forgot it when I left it with them to send out. In spite of Beretta paying to return the gun to their smiths and back CA requires all gun transfers including to the factory for work go through a dealer. Hence most of the time that it took to send it in was me trying to get it in to a dealer AND usually that ain't a freebie even with the freight being paid by the manufacturer.
