Collection Age
Not to be invasive but I'm wondering what percentage of your collection is older than you.
I'm at about 30%.

I'm fixing up a 1955 Stevens 87D so I thought I'd ask.

Re: Collection Age
NOT a large percentage, but what IS older than I am tends to be quite a bit older.
I've got a three or four from pre 1940 down to something like 1907 or so.
My first handgun was a 1917 Colt 1911 with government property marking.
To be honest I haven't even researched more than one or two of the revolvers. I think the last one I got included a letter or news article about the first owner who was a Texas or New Mexico sheriff back in the 50s.

3 of the 11 that I own. The ones my Dad bought before I was born. Earlier than 1959.

Re: Collection Age
good lord.
gimme 15 minutes to go check
it's about a 50/50 split, but many of the not older ones are replicas.
the 15 Rossi's, and my bolt type hunting guns pretty much ruined the off set.

Re: Collection Age
Dad got me started collecting old military muskets and flinters. Then anything WW2 and earlier. So I recon I am 75-80% before my birth.
