I'm just not sure why they would use a 1:32 twist on their barrels. The Rossi 1:30 is bad enough. If I was building the rifles I would use a 1:20 across all the Rossi 92s; 357 Mag through 480 Ruger.GSB4243 wrote:I'm a 454 nut case...
I'd love to get a Big Horn Armory Model 90A 454... after I win the lottery...

So what leverguns are on your wish list? (Including Rossi)

One of my buds has one in 50 S & W. It's nice. The company has IMO had some teething problems but they make a nice looking gun.GSB4243 wrote:I'm a 454 nut case...

I have these two, both have visited Steve Young for an action job. They are keepers for sure.Wakefieldad wrote:Rossi 92 in .44 mag, stainless, 16" barrel.
Rossi 92 in .357 mag, stainless, 16" barrel. I have the 20" version which I slicked up using Steve's dvd, but now really wish it was 16" after I handled a blued 16" at a show.

Maybe we could all chip in and get them a new set of gears for their rifling latheRanch Dog wrote:I'm just not sure why they would use a 1:32 twist on their barrels. The Rossi 1:30 is bad enough. It looks like Henry is going to add .327 Magnum to their range in four models -- including a big loop carbine. Should also run .32 H&Rs. I am a fan of the .327 (one of the few, apparently), so I am adding one to my wish list. I will have to think about what configuration to get, but I am leaning toward a standard round barrel. If Rossi offered a .327 in SS, I WOULD BE ALL OVER IT.

Re: So what leverguns are on your wish list? (Including Ross
I should be moving to Vermont for a new job sometime soon, so thinking if I get into hunting *and* reloading (two things i have an interest in but not sure id actually like) then id like to add a caliber (currently only shooting 357/38) with 45-70!
The Rio Grande is slick and affordable with slightly higher mag capacity but im thinking the extra weight of a Marlin would make a big difference with felt recoil for a shorty like me at 5'4, 160lb
So yeah, maybe a nice Marlin 1895 with a 20" barrel. Sexy

I'd go for a .327 but then with dies, a mold, and the elliusive .327 Ruger Single Six I'd be out $2K.CharlieW wrote:It looks like Henry is going to add .327 Magnum to their range in four models -- including a big loop carbine. Well, I already have the dies and the GP100 and LCR in .327, so I'm just budgeting for the rifle.

Big fan of the .45-70 myself. Just added a Marlin 18.5" SBL
https://www.marlinfirearms.com/lever-ac ... el-1895sbl
to my 1886 Winchester a while back.
Winchester no longer even lists my 1886 26" Octagonal Takedown on their website but the short rifle page is close:

CharlieW,
Took me a while to add a .357 Rossi to the revolvers. FINALLY got around to it. Would have loved to have nabbed the Winchester Miroku 1892 in .44 and .357 and 1873 Miroku in .357 but didn't get around to it.

lol @ Marlin site, it reads itll take out TRex and i believe it! but I'm guessing its because it was the weapon carried by Chris Pratts character in Jurassic World.
I think ill shoot for a Rio Grande if one comes available since theyre so much cheaper and if i love it then ill go for a Marlin. Speaking of Winchester i just got their catalog and it shows their 1896(?) in 4570 with a full crescent stock. Yeeouch
