New from Idaho
Hello there,
I'm just a back-country elk hunter that likes my gear to be light. I carry everything on my back, and bed down when it's too dark to track any more, and oftentimes get an elk first thing in the morning. I just discovered that I can have a 9 round 45 Colt R92 to replace my TC Contender at around the same weight, and I love the two lever actions I already own. I'm going to pick up a R92 in 45 Colt, unless the 454 Casull will shoot the 45 colts just as accurate, and as fast, and weights the same or less. I will try to knock some more weight off of my new 92, but not sure yet if there's much to take.
Thanks for the site!

Re: New from Idaho
My 454 Casull weighs .62# more than my 45 Colt, both 20" barrels. The weight difference is in the magazine tube assembly and butt stock.

hmm, I can't imagine the 454 in the trapper version with 325+ grain hunting rounds. The recoil would be up there! The 400 grainers would be nice for Griz country though, or moose hunting.
