R92 in 44 mag

Post by Reloader64 »

Hi
New to Rossi rifles, so I have a new R92 in 44 mag with 20 inch round barrel coming.

Does anyone have one and feed it cast?

If so, what bullets will feed in it O.K.

Main use will be hunting Whitetail(or hogs if I run across any) in S.E. Missouri.

Not new to casting

I use the old Lyman 429421 in mine, feeds fine and is accurate going slow or fast. I also have a NEI 325 grain that does well, though I have to say I do not shoot many of that one. I just don't have a need for a heavy bullet like that.

Since you already cast, you probably have some 44 moulds already. If so, try them. Mine will feed most anything I have tried in it. But now I don't remember if I had to do anything to it to make it feed. I have a new 44 R92 that I have not worked on yet. I'll try it and see if the 421 will feed, since it is one of the most popular 44 bullets out there.
