Decided to try my hand at making a metal follower for the 45C.
Started with some aluminum (6061 T6).
I wasn't happy with the end result so I switched to brass.
Much happier with this one and currently doing the bore on a second one in brass. Want to do one in stainless if I can figure out what alloy the Sherline can best handle. I haven't done much stainless and what I did was a lot smaller to make some pins for another long lost project.

I'll guess.
Drills, reamers, chamfer tools, routers bits, machine tools.

Re: I made some chips
I get the stuff to make those from Brownells. Lengths of tube you cut as needed and then caps for each end. Most of what's in the pictures is lathe tools and some duel purpose lathe and mill stuff.
Usually by the third try I get everything right. Lay no claim to being a machinist, but I make chips and have a lot of fun doing it.

Very cool Ohio! I love projects like this. As I look at the Rossi 92 I think, hmm... how many of these parts could I make if I really wanted to? It's cool that you are finding out part of the answer to that question.
