Rossi R44102 Comes Back at Taurus
The 44 Mag 2" Rossi revolver is now showing up as a Taurus in stainless. No porting. More expensive of course.

I work at a sporting goods store and saw it on one of our suppliers websites. Couldnt find anything on a web search yet. Will cost about the same as the regular Tracker.

Did a little more research. Impact and Cheaper than Dirt show it as a Talo version.

Yeah, no kidding!Archer wrote:I wouldn't buy from CtD unless there was no other option.
I have a Talo Taurus M44C which is the same which is the pistol in question. Unfortunately, it cost me quite a bit more than the Rossi offered through Academy Sports. Here it is against my nephew's R44102.

Amen! I wouldn't buy from them if there were no other option. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Their business practices leave a lot to be desired.Archer wrote:I wouldn't buy from CtD unless there was no other option.
At my age, there IS nothing better than shooting.

Yep, I remember 6-8 years ago during the previous ammunition crunch ... same time as the micro 380's were all the rage .... CTD listed a single box of Blazer Brass .380 for the "sale price" of $59.95 (seems that the normal price was $12-15). That little episode lost them a whole lot of customers.

Always felt their name was an Oxymoron as it applied to them.

Re: Rossi R44102 Comes Back at Taurus
The worse thing that the do is split the order amongst their various warehouse and charge you the additional shipping. Back when I used them I had an order of three items, all the same magazines, but it ended up that the inventory level was actually one in each warehouse. I had to paid a shipping charge from each warehouse rather than one. The magazines were hard to find but when they arrived on staggered days and I saw my credit card bill, I hit the ceiling. I did return them and they did refund all my money and I never have bought from them again. They are jerks!
