The lug on the barrel for the forend stock have a different spacing between the adult and youth models.

Good question, just the other day I placed and adult 20 gauge buttstock on a youth 22/410 and it fit. The recoil plate did not match 100% but that is an easy fix

Re: Single Shot Youth Stock to Full Size Frame?
If I decide to go this route I wont worry too much about the fore-end. I just want the increased length of pull from the adult stock. I want a 410 for squirrel and since that's mostly a nice walk in the woods it seems silly to lug my heavier guns and while I prefer my 22's for this some of the areas I hunt require shotgun.
