Up north pheasants
Pheasant hunt with my 2 shorthairs. Teaching the whiter one how to be a country dog after living in town for 1 1/2 years. Dark one is 8 years and is just slowing down to my speed. I have his mom yet but she retired this year after 13 years hunting at my side. Winter came early this year. Still works to hunt pheasants but lost out on over 3 weeks of waterfowling as every thing froze up.

Good stuff always loved squirrel hunting, rabbit and coon. With my beagles and blue ticks.

Re: Up north pheasants
Nice looking dogs. Pheasants too. I haven't been pheasant hunting in 20 years and I miss it. They're about extinct in my part of the state. The turkeys pretty well wiped the out. Still a lot of them in the western part of the state, but it is increasingly harder to get permission to hunt out there.
At my age, there IS nothing better than shooting.

Re: Up north pheasants
Man seeing all those pheasants on the tailgate makes me hungry. And envious of the fun you had putting them on the tailgate. Thanks for sharing.
Life isn't about the toys you accumulate, but about the memories your create with those toys and friends.
