Re: Bullet drop
Looks like that 300 gr load is working good for you - nice group!
At my age, there IS nothing better than shooting.

Re: Bullet drop
I tried a little more with working up a load. I did 8.7gn titegroup with the300gn bullet and put my 2x scout scope on and never thought my lever action would shoot like this,
The top 3 were just regular loads of 5.5gn 700x with a 250 gn bullet aiming at the top of circle center. That is my normal group which I'm used to. The center 3 I couldn't believe. All this time time I just thought it was the rifle or me.I guess I found the just right load were it hits right where you point.
If I take the scope off I can still shoot with tang sight as it is just high enough to see over the scope mount.
That's at 65yards

Re: Bullet drop
You're experience has been mine and is why all my R92s are scoped with scouts. The R92 is a tack driver!

Re: Bullet drop
, wow ... if I can even come close to that after the Red Dot is in place
I'll be one happy camper.
I'm thinking of leaving the peep on if I can see over the scope base. Might just
remove the aperture if not.
