JimR Mechanic from Oh
Hi, Glad to be part of this forum. I had a Marlin 30-30 years ago when I hunted PA but I got rid of it after I gave up on PA to hunt my home state Ohio which did not allow rifles for deer until this up coming season. Restrictions are handgun ammo only so that 30-30 wouldnt of been any good anyhow. I picked up a new Rossi 92 20 inch 44mag at a gun show. These guns are hard to find and really hot in Ohio now because of the new hunting regs allowing them. Its a Great gun. I got it sighted at 100 yds and really happy with the way it shoots but that stupid safety had to go, it was loose and wouldnt even lock into either the S or F position and looked ugly. Its gone now, check my post under gun smithing.

welcome, Jim
I like your choice of the .44 mag. Do you reload?

No, I don't reload, don't have the time. I just picked up this Rossi for hunting, I'll most likely be using 240 grain federal hollow points.mr surveyor wrote:welcome, Jim

Welcome to the forum Jim! I thought a levergun might be a hot item in Ohio! It was great to see that rifles are now allowed!
