Here's what it looks like when a hog makes the connection
between rolling the pipe and getting stinky corn:

Thanks for the explanation of a "hog pipe". It's a very cool device.

LOL, I'm glad someone asked, I was really curious.
Never heard of a hog pipe !
Now I'll ask my hog hunting buddy if he ever used one.

I made one out of an old air tank. Same type of set up just lets me put almost 50# corn in it.

back in the 70's, when I was living at and working 24/7/365 as "assistant manager" of our local junior college "demonstration farm", I had quite a bit of dealings with hog farming. We had some pretty much state of the art facilities, farrowing barn, weaning barn and finishing barn. The finishing barn had 5 or 6 pens that could handle about 20-25 pigs at a time, and to keep them from chewing on each other ( even though all our pigs had been "de-fanged" and tails docked at 2-3 weeks old) or the facilities, we kept an old bowling ball, pieces of log chain and a chunk of 6 inch casing pipe in the pens to keep them occupied. If it's "unnatural looking" and moveable, they're gonna play with it.... I can almost guarantee that.

Cool ideas for the "bait feeders".

I hope the special concoction used to treat the corn doesn't cause swelling.
