Re: RIP Bushnell Banner 1.5-4.5X32
I've had a Burris Fullfield 3x9 mounted on my hunting rifle for 30 years. The original Fullfield is long out of production as well. Four years ago the reticle broke under heavy recoil. I sent it back to Burris under their "forever" warranty with a request to repair the cross hair and not simply replace it with a later model of pacific rim manufacture. They repaired and returned my old Fullfield in under 10 days. That impressed me.
I have also been using a Swift 1.5-4.5 x 21mm scope on a two lever actions, a Savage 99 and a BLR. These have proven to be reliable in holding their zero and the optics are brighter than some of its competitors. May be worth a look see.

In my search for a fixed, 4 power scope, the Swift 4X32 has been one that has attracted my attention. It is about half the price of the Weaver K4 Classic for near identical features.Arroyoshark wrote:II have also been using a Swift 1.5-4.5 x 21mm scope on a two lever actions, a Savage 99 and a BLR. The Swift I referenced, the 4x32 (SR668M), is not a scout scope AK but just a standard eye relief scope.akuser47 wrote:Thats funny i was curious if anyone had used that scope as i plan on scouting my 92Ranch Dog wrote:In my search for a fixed, 4 power scope, the Swift 4X32 has been one that has attracted my attention. Swift does not offer a scout scope per say, they have three pistol scopes but the eye relief is much longer on these types of scopes so they do not readily come to the eye in a R92 application. The 2X20 (SRP6263) might work at 9.8" but that is starting to get long for the R92's base position. The 4X32 (SRP6261) at 13.8" and the 2-6X32 (SPR6266) at 20" are way too long. In the pistol lineup these are the "Premier" scopes, there is a "Reliant" series with the same magnification and objective diameters and they have the same eye reliefs as the "Premier" series.

Re: RIP Bushnell Banner 1.5-4.5X32
I can attest that Swift pistol scopes make great scout scopes. I used one many years atop a Thompson New Englander for deer hunting and had one on a Finnish M39 scout style on the rear sight base,S&K mount. I currently have a 2x Swift on my Ruger MKII Government. Swifts are a great scope for the money.
