1st time Rossi owner saying hello!

Post by ptgarcia »

Just traded into a 16" 92 chambered in .357 mag. This is my 2nd lever action, the other being my Marlin 336C in .30-30. Picked up the Rossi as a companion to my Smith & Wesson 627 Pro. I'd post a picture but I pulled the butt stock off and applied Boiled Linseed Oil to it and it's hanging out to dry. This is a fine looking rifle but the wood could use just a little life put into it. Looking forward to getting it to the range.

Anyway, hello to all!

Welcome to the forum! You will enjoy the rifle especially if you aren't worried about getting a little dirty under your fingernails! You have already proved you aren't!

Traded a Smith & Wesson Bodyguard 38 revolver (new Bodyguard with integral laser). I'm a revolver, 1911 and lever action rifle kind of guy. :D

I guess I'm a lever action, 1911 and Garand kind of guy.
But when I saw S&W Bodyguard I though of my model 49.

Yeah, while I really like the Rossi so far I wouldn't have traded a Model 49 for this rifle.

Hey Paul,
I'm new here too with my first lever gun, (if you don't count bb guns).
I got the stainless .357 to go with my new .357 Bisley New Vaquaro.
...liking the nostalgic cowboy guns.
