went out with the trapper!

Post by HaveBlue83 »

I FINALLY got out to shoot with the .38/.357.

I will need the taller front sight from Stevez but otherwize wow what fun! Like a big .22lr and subsonic with the .38's. Nailed targets at 25, 50 and even some at 100yds. I put up some swingers and i was tearing em up.

Holy fun! New fav fun gun to shoot. Zero issues and brasss went over my head and my dads...both lefties!

YEEEE HAWW! +guns

If I was casting it would be much cheaper, but even buying commercial bullets I can reload .38/.357 for about 12-15 cents a round. After seeing some (most) of the idiotic prices of .22 lr, when available, that 15 cents a round (for a lot more bang/fun) just feels much more better. :D

I wish .22 was as cheap to shoot as it's supposed to be.

edit .... I think the proper term was "much more gooder"

Glad you are enjoying your rifle. :D
Once you get them whipped into shape those Rossi 92s are accurate little tack drivers.
I don't think I've fired one that wasn't.
I have a Chiappa 92/44 (one of the new PUMAs) which is 50% more expensive than its Rossi counterpart and a bit prettier because of the walnut stock but the Rossi 92/44 puts it to shame at the range. The Rossi rifles groups are 1/2 the size everything else being equal.

The 38/357 is the "new" .22. That's what I've been telling friends. haha

Given today's cost of .22s and the cost of ammo in the mid 80s to mid 90s it used to be as cheap then to shoot them as it is to shoot .22s today.

Amen

And i work at a gun shop....50rnds of .38 costs me about $10 LOL. We sell bricks of bulk for $29.95 but they are scarce. I only shoot subsonics tho so i wait for CCI Std Velocity.

The only thing that would make this gun more fun would be a 9mm can on the end LOL.

my son has been back and forth for a couple of months deciding between a .357 R92 or Ruger M77/357, and the idea of a can on the Ruger has him dreaming. Me.... I'd feel downright cheated if I couldn't hear the bang to go with the thumppin'
