So there was this little levergun...

Post by SD3 »

New 92 owner here! Always wanted a fun levergun, but the budget didn't support "fun" guns until recently. My new stainless trapper in 357 will (hopefully!) be a great companion to my 686+.

I know these can be 'hit or miss' but I bought on the assumption that it'll probably need some finishing work by yours truly. Haven't fired it yet but it's much better looking than I expected & she cycles snap-caps like nobody's business, although that doesn't necessarily *mean* anything.

Been studying some youtube videos by a generous soul named Neutered10mm, which have been very informative. Also been lurking these forum threads for quite some time to get 'edjumacated' on the issues.

Thanks to all for their informative posts & 'free' advice!

Let me tell, I'm very pleased with my new stainless trapper. Like many of you, I'd read so many negative things over the years, I kept my fingers croseed unitl I finaly got it to the range. Ain't no wall-hanger, but it's just what I wanted, a fun, reliable, little companion for my 686.

It needs a little 'slickin-up', but I knew that before I bought it. Gunslinger kit & Steve's DVD en route now. Delighted to see Rossi may have improved their processes in recent years.

Makes me want to buy a horse now!
