Lightening 92 hammer spring

Post by armymutt »

I thought there was supposed to be instructions on Steve's DVD for modifying the hammer spring to lighten it up a bit. I can't seem to find it. Was I told wrong?

I can't speak to that, but I just went to a solid hardware store with a good selection of springs and made a choice close to the same length and a slightly smaller wire gage. Just cost a few cents.

It is on the DVD.
IF I recall correctly he says you CAN trim UP TO 4 coils off pre-safety guns
and UP TO 2 coils CAN be trimmed of guns with the safety.

Remember you can't put metal back on springs too easy and YOU are trimming at your own risk.
