Primer cost

Post by Steelbanger »

I bought 2,000 primers today. Cost? $80.00. Wow, I remember when they were under $10 a thousand. Looking into the future I can only surmise that today's prices will be the good old days.

Best we all stock up cause it isn't going to get any better.

Yep I keep hoping it will get better. With current political enviroment it is only getting worse. I still have not been able to get my federal bulk pack .22lR ammo al walmart it is always gone. Just like compoonents and when they are there they cost 3X what they use to(not at walmart).

I try to keep well stocked. At least twice each year I will order enough primers and powder from Powder Valley to make the hazmat charge worthwhile.

While reloading isn't getting any cheaper, it does keep me shooting when the shelves are empty

I try to get them when I can but a bulk order makes the most sense.

I believe that mentality is the reason for the scarcity & inflated prices.
