Hello from the upper peninsula of michigan, I've been lurking as a guest for sometime and have learned alot from you good folks! Thought I'd join up as I have bit the bullet and brought home a rio grande 45-70! It will follow my bluetick hounds and should be just the right medicine for these black bears! Good shooting, Mike

Well alright I grew up training blue ticks for coon hunting one of my favorite breeds great trackers and smart as well. welcome to the site.

Good to hear from ya! Welcome! If you ever want a trip down south of the bridge, I had more bears than deer on my game cams last year!

But it takes up to 7 years to get a permit 'cause the #'s arent high enough!

Beautiful country up there for sure.
