41 Mag.

Post by olderndirt »

I finally found a distributor with Ruger Blackhawk 41 Mag.4.62" barrel in stock. My local gun shop ordered it today for Monday shipping. It should be here on 11/5. I have been looking for this gun for almost a year now. It will go good with the other 41's in the stable. +guns
Now if I could find a Rossi 92 again it would be great.

I too wish that Rossi offered their R92 in 41 Mag as well. It would go well with my 1894FG and Taurus 415.

According to me, the 41mag and the Blackhawk were made for eachother. And if I Rossi made the 92 in 41Mag, I'd snatch one up in a heartbeat. What do you like to shoot from your 41's?

I shoot my TLC411-265-RF. I size at .411" for my 1894FG and .410 for the 415.

I have two molds I use in my 41's, one a lee 210 tumble lube and the other is a no name that I got with my
first 41 Blackhawk that drops a 230 flat nose out of wheel weights. I bought a 265 mold from Ranch Dog before he closed his shop and have not cast with it yet. I still have about a thousand cast boolits to shoot
up now. All my guns like .4105 to .411 boolits.

The original load I worked up to was the Hornady 210gr XTP with a max dose of 2400. It gives up very little to a 44mag, and is a handfull in the Blackhawk. Fun to shoot when you wanna go full throttle. The one I really like though is a 215gr SWC from Mastercast of Enon Valley, PA. Load those up with 8.5gr of Unique, and they are smooth. 1155 FPS, so plenty of power, and just enough recoil to let you know its a magnum.
