My son and I were hanging out in our LGS and he found some 125g JSP whilst rummaging thru an old box.... I loaded them up over 21 g of H110... Here us the result:

Re: .357 Trapper new load...
Is that weight of bullet considered one of the more accurate ones for this firearm given the twist rate and all?
I'm loading up some JHP 140 grainers with 2400 to see how well they fare. Haven't tested them yet but when I do I plan on loading some lead bullets of the same weight to test them at the same time.

Well the proof is in the pudding.... Watch the video and listen for the strike on the gong.... It's at 100 yards.... I'd say it pretty damn good!Johnz wrote:Is that weight of bullet considered one of the more accurate ones for this firearm given the twist rate and all?

I suppose that would depend on how big the steel target is at that range.Sosoomi wrote: Well the proof is in the pudding.... Watch the video and listen for the strike on the gong.... It's at 100 yards.... I'd say it pretty damn good!

Gotta love the H110 flame thrower (especially out of a Ruger GP100. )
21g of H110 is pretty hot. I'm curious as to what velocities you are seeing.

I didn't have my chrono set up....I was surprised at the amount of powder but after checking a few manuals and the Hodgdon website I loaded and shot it.... I'll chrono it next time....calan wrote:Gotta love the H110 flame thrower (especially out of a Ruger GP100. )
