That's a good permanent solution but I need something temporary. This will be a one time use then the trapper goes back to it's place as a protection piece for hiking with the dogs and resting by the back door or night stand.

You can pick up a piece of light weight camo cloth, or netting, and wrap it around the rifle for a temporary solution Hold it in place with - what else - duct tape.........

Just leave it off the areas that need to move to operate the rifle.
