Re: ROSSI OVERLAND COACH GUN 12G
I have a 12 gauge Amadeo Rossi Overland Coach Gun with 20" double barrels, break-open action, exposed hammers that I've owned for years.
The triggers are fine and though its not an engraved & embossed in gold leaf Purdey or Greener it is definitely NOT ugly.
Gun has taken umpteen dozen grouse & rabbits every fall for years.

Re: ROSSI OVERLAND COACH GUN 12G
these can be tuned carefully by shaving the trigger springs a bit buut it takes time to test and evaluate each time you remove a tiny bit of material to tune the triggers. You have to be careful to not make your triggers to light to not strike the shotgun primers hard enough.! there has to be videos for this tuning I amm speaking of I hope.

Breaks apart into 3 pieces as fast as you can say "disassemble".jinshot wrote:is it hard to take apart?

1st. ......check the Braztech website.
I was looking for drawings I'd cross my fingers and GOOGLE the make & name of the gun.
Braztech (post Taurus takeover Rossi firearm manufacturer) does its best to disavow (pretend they don't exist) the old Amadeo Rossi made guns but I'm sure they have the drawings archived somewhere.
Whether they will give them to you is something you'll have to discuss with Braztech.
I don't think they make the Overland SxS anymore but I could be wrong.

sorry, i meant complete disassembly, yes it s really fast to take it down
i want to try a trigger job, it s really stiff. well these kind of guns are all stiff i guess, but a little lighter wouldnt hurt.

Re: ROSSI OVERLAND COACH GUN 12G
Some of these models have contained mainsprings for the triggers and the more traditional have flat springs either can be lightened up carefully found a vid on youtube for you this model has the mainspring style not the flat stock springs of the old age guns. This video is of a JW-2000 coach gun.

Re: ROSSI OVERLAND COACH GUN 12G
The Rossi Overland SxS is one gun I didn't strip.
Heck it's just a butt stock hinged to a barrel assembly.
Doesn't really have an action in the same sense as a 92 does.
I use an aerosol spray can of degreaser to gravity purge (into a pail) the hammer & lock up mechanism of grit contaminated oil and after the spray run-off runs clean, the alcohol based degreaser evaporates and the metal is clean & dry I re-lubricate with Remoil.
Good to go for another year.
As I said before the factory triggers were fine NIB.
If you want to strip it down to basic parts knock yourself out.

Well, i couldnt resist....
It wasn t the best idea of the evening...
took it all apart except for the hammer spring, it looks ultra stiff, so i m not sure if i cant bring it back together...
it s not that complicated but much deception when done, the wood machining is terrible, i ll take some pics tomorrow.
i cant see how i can make the trigger lighter.. the spring is weirdly machined, maybe i can get a little bit less creepy by sanding the sear.
Anyway, it doesnt look too good. i m gonna sleep on it. take a second look in the morning, get some pics, maybe you ll have an idea.
