I shortened it about 3/4" at the stock. Modded a shorter front sight to fit the factory dovetail, used the existing safety to make my own plug for the safety slot, and pinned it in place, and the Williams sight gives a wonderful picture.

My new 20 inch 45 Colt. I picked it up from my LGS Saturday, loaded up some fresh cast 255 gr 452s and hit the range. I've got a Marble's bullseye on order for it, but I didn't have any trouble plinking empty shotgun shells out to 25 yards or so with the buckhorn sight. I think I might leave it alone and shoot it for awhile like it is. It's a pretty sweet shooter already.

My 20" Rossi 92 in 45 Colt with its stable-mate, a 4 5/8" Ruger heavy-frame Vaquero .45 wearing Texas Grips 'extended' Mesquite grips. These are the two best, most accurate examples of their breed I have ever owned and I've been through several.

Sarge, that is a nice setup.
I like the extended grip on that ruger.
I have the long factory grip on my SBH 7.5, but not on the 4 5/8 model. 44 mag.
I can shoot the 7.5 no problem, but having only two fingers to hold the 4 5/8 is a bit harder.
