Navy Arms 92s

Post by pricedo »

Is anyone fortunate enough to have latched onto one of the model 92s that were made by Rossi on contract to Navy Arms back in the 80's?
Apparently they were made to "higher" Navy Arms standards with real Walnut stocks. :?:

No but I have had an EMF Hartford, and it was a cut about the LSI Rossis that were available at the same time.

For a while the LSI Rossis had that silly safety while the Navy Arms and EMF versions did not. But before long they all got the safety.

I'm using an Interarms Rossi M92 in 38/357. Great wood, walnut, good wood to metal fit, NO saftey, a halfcock. And.an engraved receiver. I don't know how old it is. I'm guessing 1985, maybe!

the very first one i got in 45 colt is a navy arms 24" bbl'd rifle.
it was smooth right out of the box, hasn't changed any either.
it had pretty good sights right from the box too.
i judge every rossi i look at by that gun now. i have an identical lsi but can tell them apart at a glance.
