Davidson's Gallery of Guns listed R92s in .44 mag and .45LC a few days ago. I just checked today and it looks like the .44s are gone, but there are 16 .45LC left.
It is a carbine, SS w/16"round barrel. Cost is ~$550.

I don't expect prices to ever come down. Rossi's were and still are very scarce.
My Marlin 1894 CST was over a grand all said and done. Suddenly $550 for a Rossi doesn't sound so bad. That's what the stainless one I have on layaway was.

Re: $700.00 for a new Rossi?
I want a SS .357 20" RB to go with my blued one.
That said at $700 I might be more likely to buy the Marlin and even there I'd feel it was overpriced.
I think I paid less than $400 for the Rossi blue 20" RB new but I've had it a few years.
Back then they'd alternate shipments of SS and blued ones and it could be maddening waiting on the one you wanted to show up in stock.

Re: $700.00 for a new Rossi?
Around here I can find Henrys Big Boy Steel for under 700 and I've got less than that in my re-bored 336 Marlin, so it would take an unusual chambering before 700 went into a '92. Just sayin'

Re: $700.00 for a new Rossi?
In late 2018 bought a 16", blued M92 in .357 from Wally World for $529.00. A SN lookup on Rossi's site told me production year was 2015. It must have sat there relatively unnoticed in the gun cabinet behind the counter for a couple years I suppose. BTW the sales guy did tell me they can order guns for you, no FFL, for what its worth. Don't know about shipping costs, didnt ask.
