I just bought a used 92 with a replacement butt stock. The carbine is blue finish and the replacement stock metal is bright steel. It came with a loop on the left side of the stock, like a military sling loop. Being left handed it isn't a hindrance to me but I imagine it would be in the way of a right handed shooter. Is this an add-on or is this a Rossi original?

I've never seen a Rossi with that.

LOL. No, that's not original. It looks like a drawer/cabinet handle that someone slapped on there. The military sling bars that I've seen have all been flush, with the stock hollowed out underneath it for the sling to pass around. What you have there is a Collarbone Self-injury Device.

I cut the loop off and ground the stubs flat. Now there are two silver dots on the stock!
