I apologize sir, I just checked my budsguns account. The selling cost was 528.00, paid on 11/25/15
I could only imagine how much it would sale for now. That particular firearm was hardly ever instock, if it was it would sell out fast. I always thought it was the best looking model 92 made..JMO.

Get that one Brother, you can't go wrong.

Does anybody happen to know what these are going for right now? I'm just afraid they'll price it out of my reach.

If they do, I still have a 20" stainless .357 carbine waiting in the wings for $450.....

The fact it is .44-40 is what makes it hard to say. The price will vary wildly by region.

You could go to Gunbroker & search by "completed listings" to see if one has sold through there & what it went for.

I agree with GasGuzzler, the 44-40 is harder to pin down. It seems to me that the cowboy action shooters would love it.

There isn't a lot of model 92s in 44-40 on GB. This is about as close as it gets.

I went by again today to look it over closer, and I swear this rifle's never been loaded or fired, other than factory proofing! There's NO brass marks on the loading gate or the carrier, the barrel shows no signs of any bullets going through it, and the innards are spotless. Now I want it even more.

Sounds like something you should definitely jump on! I have those same rifles, only in 45 Colt and 44 Magnum. I've been looking for a 357, to no avail. The 44-40 would definitely be on my radar!! Good luck with getting it!!

Thanks! I'm definitely poised and ready to pounce, they're getting tired of me calling. Same answer, the owner that brought all these guns in for consignment hasn't brought prices for them in yet.

The guy at the shop did tell me this seller has brought guns in before for consignment, and his prices were fair - not out of line - so I have hope. Keeping a fistfull of cash on hand too, and next week off.

Thats a good thing.
Squeaky wheel gets the grease.
Have them contact the owner to see if you can put down a (refundable) cash down payment,(get a receipt) to reserve it for you.
I bet if you walk in there and start counting out hard cash, things may start moving a little faster.
