.357 92 for sale locally

So, a local guy has a 20" stainless R92 in .357, says he only took it shooting once. Says he'd take $450 for it.

What I'm wanting is a 16" blued 92 in .357, but I'm thinking about buying this 20" stainless one to use for trading.

So, anybody here interested in trading a 16" blued 92 in .357 for a 20" stainless 92 in .357? Not interested in anything else, except maybe a .44-40.....

If it's in even halfway reasonable shape (let alone almost new), $450 for a stainless .357 is a great deal. Even if you don't find the blued version that you want to trade for it, you could easily turn around & sell the stainless one on Gun Broker for a fair profit.

That's what I'm thinking too.

Got an agreement, supposed to meet up Saturday. Will post pics once it's in my sweaty hands.

Here we are, July 12. Have yet ANOTHER agreement to meet Saturday. This has been the HARDEST seller to communicate with that I've ever dealt with. Finally got a day, time, and place squeezed out of him.

Guess we'll see. Be glad to get this one behind me!

All right! Success! The carbine is mine now. Sorry, no pics, but y'all know what a 20" stainless carbine looks like.

Only had approx. 25 rounds through it the man said, and it's in pristine condition. Feeds .38's perfectly too. He said he did some fluffin' and buffin' inside, but I have my own tuning I do to them.

Nice lil' carbine though, glad I bought it! Although I really wanted a 16". Paid $450 for it, plus $35 in transfer fees.

You met the guy and still had to pay fees? Texas is behind but not that much.

Congrats!

yep, in my neck of the woods, face to face is ... face to face. Nothing more, nothing less. It's just a thing.

Yeah, this in Colorado. In 2013 the damned Democrats forced mandatory background checks on us. If it's not a C&R firearm, then we have to go to an FFL for a 4473 and BGC. No more FTF sales.

Most of my collection were FTF purchases in parking lots, including a revolver from a cop and a Winchester from an FBI agent. Not any more.

Leave it to the damned hippies to ruin a perfectly good state.
