I say again that there is no rhyme or reason to the serial numbers and any specific letter does not mean a thing. I have purchased 22 Rossi rifles manufactured since Braztech took the reins and have two that start with "K" with the year of manufacture being 2011 and 2012. Both of the rifles are proudly stamped "Braztech" and have all the Braztech features. If anything, I would say that the letter represents the month but even that fails I have I have some serial numbers that don't contain a letter. I think that the numbers are randomly generated so they are unique. I even brought up my Taurus handguns, sixteen of them, and there is no rhyme or reason behind those numbers as well. I have the same exact models of some pistols made in the same year and the numbers are so wildly different that there is no way to correlate a comparison.

I think you nailed it. Everything about Braztech's business operations seems... random.

I wonder if it's just the Brazilian culture. Maybe they're a free-spirited bunch of people who all do their own thing, subject to the whims of the day.

I honestly don't think the Amedo Rossi's were serialized, it wasn't required for import. Think about it, if it wasn't required to use an FFL for an out-of-state transfer, would you?

The only A. Rossi I have owned was a 62 and it wasn't. So a pre and post '68 thing so my statement didn't make any sense. I still doubt A. Rossi used consecutive numbers or by now there would be a logical list.

Right on. Post '68 are serialized but the numbers make no sense.....yet.

I’m looking at an Interarms Rossi tomorrow. Sn: AM0220XX not sure when that had been made. I guess that’s a Interarms SN.

I just picked up an older Interarms Rossi 92 a couple weeks ago.
24” half octagonal barrel in 45LC. Serial # AM0511xx
Very smooth action, deep blue receiver and barrel.
Presume from mid ‘90s.
