My vote is for the .460 s&w. I reload that for my son's hand gun and it's a heck of a round. Gives the option of shooting .45 colt and .454 casull also.

I want a 7.62x39 92, ammo is cheap and plentiful. I know I am bias lol. I still want one. I know 3030 is comparable but there is no cheap steel cased ammo to shoot in 3030

Interesting idea...

Only trouble is that none of the cheap 7.62x39 ammo has flat, round, or polymer tipped bullets, so you'd be living dangerously with those in a tube magazine.

Of course, strictly speaking neither of those will fit in a model 92, anyway. ;)

6 months ago I would have voted 327. Now that I own and have shot a 454 I would really, really like to have another, 20" barrel preferred since I have a 16"

I'm in for the 327, that seems like a really good cartridge. I know Henry makes a lever gun in 327.
I think most of would like to see some made in 357 or 44, what the hec is going on with this company?

I voted for 41 mag.
I would love to have a match for my S&W 57.
Have multiple sets in 357..
S&W 19 and a Puma 16"
S&W 27 and a Rossi 20"
S&W 28 and a Marlin
Multiple 45 Colt sets
AWA and a Rossi 16" large lever
AWA and a Rossi 20" small lever
A single 44 mag set.

I gotta go with "other": 44 mag. I just can't see how any thing comes close when you consider versatility. Load a 300 grain with something behind it and youre gonna take down plenty of game out to 150. Kick it down to 44 special and youve got a respectable and manageable SD round. One caliber for rifle or revolver, whats not to like? Although .41 mag is good too. Oh, lets not forget .357 or 327 mag. Damn, now i may have to change my vote.

My.454 Casull is a shoulder bruiser, I can't imagine a .500 SW in a 92. :o

I'd have to draw the line at the .460 S&W.

Well has anybody heard is Rossi might consider new calibers? I would love a 16 inch stainless in 327 to match the one I have in 357, Guess I could just shoot lighter bullets. I also would love to see the 454 come back. I love mine like it were a Mercedes or something. Shoots 45 colt well also and since factories are not cheap I load a hot 45 colt and a 454 with 250 grain Hornady bullets, a 255 grain cast for plinking, and a 340 grain Lee mold bullet from wheel weights. At 165https://www.washingtonpost.com/posteverything/w ... ea1a214e90 fps it is not bad at all, but still close to my 45-70 guide gun. Suitable for big bears or hogs or whatever. I have plinking loads for both the 45-70 and the 454 that throw the 255 grain bullet at 1100. Not very flat, but still a thumper. Everyone should have a 454 model 92, ALTHOUGH, you can get very hot with the 92 in 45 colt, just be safe. Anyway, anything new from Rossi?
