24" Stainless .357 coming

Postby rondog » 19 Dec 2017 21

A feller on the Marlin Owners forum offered this to me and I just couldn't resist. The twin to my .45! $450, plus the shipping, PayPal, and transfer bs. Says he took it in a trade and never shot it, just looking to roll it over to reuse the cash again. Looks to be in outstanding condition.

It was only offered for sale to me via pm, not on the open forum. I have no idea why, maybe my comments when he first showed photos of it caught his attention and he remembered that I said I wanted one just like it.

OH MY! It came looking for you!!

Considering the search comments I see on this and other forums, you must have been born under a lucky star finding that configuration, especially at that price. New, I paid $579 OTD for mine after an extensive search, 32 months ago, and they were rare as hens teeth then.

I look forward to your range impressions. Good luck. +guns

You know, the guy I'm buying it from had previously offered it to another member in a trade, and that other member had also come to me - asking me if I'd like to buy it if he did the trade. So this rifle was dangled in front of me TWICE. I took that as a sign!

And the 24" stainless .45 I have, was not what I wanted. I wanted a blued one. But the shop had one 24" blue and one 24" stainless. The blued one had a canted barrel with lopsided sights. The stainless was perfect. That rifle has turned out to be one of the best guns I've ever owned!

I think it must be my destiny to own stainless 24" Rossi rifles!
