Barrel mounts for flashlight

Post by Comanche Ken »

Hi all. Planning on using my new 92 in 44 mag for hog hunting here in Tx. I know I have seen barrel attachments for the 92 which allows you to attach a green light and / laser to the barrel but I can't locate them on any site. Anyone know where I can find one? I know I could...and ...have strapped one with a heavy plastic tie down but would like something more professional.

I have a cheap Chinese clamp for a small (single AA battery) flashlight on the magazine tube. I presume you're talkin' about a more manly torch. When I was shopping, I found lots of 12 GA tube clamps, and not much else.

I guess I'm a hick but electrical tape has worked real good for me and not so good for a lot of hogs.

I wrap the barrel/tube (to keep it scratch free) and then tape the light on. I don't want something permanent and I don't want something clamped to the tube as I think it thin enough that it won't hold up. The tubes also have a history of sliding forward and so far mine haven't despite the heavy loads I shoot. I don't want to add any mass to them as I suspect they would.

To get a mount that fits the mag tube, it needs to be open, at the top, and thei, I guess that Ranch Dog is right, the mount might crush the mag tube.

I guess the mount you look for, is something like this:

I would think about mounting the torch, to the scope instead.

Maybe with a scope to Picatinny adapter:

I've been using an Olight magnet mount on my 92 in .44 for years now, it clamps on the mag tube really well thanks to some industrial strength magnets

The good part is it's quickly detachable, I use it on different rifles and handguns and it doesn't even cost much

Groo here
Get a NOE scout mount, add a Holosun red dot [mine is solar powered],
then get a Safariland light mount that will slide onto the front of the mount and pit the light to the side
where your off hand thumb is.[ light and reddot work together.http://www.safariland.com/dw/image/v2/A ... 500&sm=fit
