Is Rossi going out of business?

Post by JKdriver »

Is Rossi going out of business? Their web site shows almost nothing for the Model 92. Local gun shops seldom mention the name. Even Bud's list most options as out of stock! Any info available?

The word on the street is that they were combine manufacturing facilities to one location throughout this year. Yes, things have gotten thin.

I was dicked around a couple of months back attempting to buy a new rifle, eventually told by the gun shop that the Australian distributor had "none available and none on order".

I will check distributors website.

I still see them quite frequently in my daily alerts from GunsAmerica. I've linked today's .38/.357. While you've accessed GunsAmerica do a search on "The Exchange." They're in South Dakota and usually have quite a few 92s.

When it comes to finding a 44 Mag barrel for my Wizard, IV thought that end has been out of Biz for several years.

I've known the owner 35 years and will vouch for him.

Wouldn't break my heart if they were bought by another maker that planned to tighten up quality and kick production into high gear! They'd cost more, but I'd pay more for better quality. I love the Model 1892 design, it's tried and true and needs to stick around.

Folks have been saying that for decades.
Braztech appears to be little better than some of the earlier versions but still has a stinks on ice reputation for customer service. Earlier models that were built for some contracts seemed to get checked for quality and workmanship while others were just dumped out as fast as possible.
